“Pakiusap” – orig. Filipino poem + art + translation

So, I tried taking my writing a notch higher. Being a Filipino, I normally would have a knowledge of my mother tongue. I had experience writing in Filipino, but that was because it was a school requirement. Now, here is my attempt at Filipino poetry.

I originally imagined it as a message from an abandoned pet or kid. Apparently, it revolved around love and it started sounding romantic. It can have several interpretations for different people. Feel free to post them in the comments section.

Because I want my works to reach out further, I made the initiative to try translating the poem. It lost the rhyme, but I do hope it’s good. Here is the English translation:
